| Meet the Rev. Virginia "Gini" Gerbasi 
 The Rev. Virginia "Gini" Gerbasi joins Christ Church Kensington as Assistant Rector on June 3, 2007. Gini is a former attorney who has been married for 15 years and has two elementary school-aged boys.
Gini served as a Seminarian at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Silver Spring, where she preached monthly, lead daily office and served as LEM, chalicist and healing minister for Rite I and II, led adult education series in Advent and Lent, developed Covenant group and knitting group, directed the Christmas pageant, as well as helping organize a children's festival, Christmas caroling, small neighborhood groups and baseball games. At St. Alban's Church, Gini served as a healing minister, church school teacher, and co-superintendent of the church school, among other duties.
Before studying at Wesley Theological Seminary and Virginia Theological Seminary, Gini worked as an attorney in criminal justice and at the USDA. She has experience in poverty- and hunger-related public policy and social justice/outreach.
In Gini's words: "My hobbies are knitting, biking, reading, hanging out with friends and family, and coffee. (Coffee a hobby? You'd be surprised...)."
