| J2A Pilgrimage -- What does it mean?
Young Adult News
"The J2A wishes to thank all those who have supported their group through the myriad of fundraising and well wishes. We are counting down our days to Poland and give thanks to God and this parish that has made it possible. We leave on June 19th knowing we have such a wonderful community here at home in this church and hope to make you proud as we represent Christ Church of Kensington in Krakow. Thank you! -

Discern a destination for the pilgrimage. Probably the hardest part of the process. This is not a one-person task, but a task of parents, Clergy and J2A Leaders. It involves…
- meeting and praying together
- confirming the meaning of a pilgrimage
- discerning some possible sites
- exploring options of sites, including costs, feasibility, etc
- coming together in the presence of the Holy Spirit to choose the site of the Pilgrimage.
Leadership:
- A parent(s) needs to take the point on travel arrangements and itinerary
- All parents will be involved in the fundraising.
- Ideally, each family will chair a specific fundraising activity with an overall fundraiser coordinator and budget chair who will regularly meet with the Church administration to discuss the status of the fundraising and other matters such as insurance, etc.
Fundraising:
- It is hoped that most of the money for the cost of the pilgrimage for the pilgrims and chaperones can be raised through fundraising efforts by the J2A.
- Some of these efforts have included dinners, car washes, Super Bowl Chili sales, Christmas greens sales, flower sales, bulb sales and bake sales.
